Lakeside at Golden Hour: A Comfy Dress and Film Photography

It is insanely hot again today and I am 100% over it. Fall cannot come soon enough! I have already started planning my autumn content but it’s too hot humid to shoot anything other than food photos indoors. Hopefully, the weather starts to change soon.

In other news, this post was supposed to go up this morning but I just couldn’t think of anything to say to go along with it. I haven’t been feeling well so I haven’t been up to much to talk to you guys about.

One thing that I did want to share with you is that I’ve started playing around with film photography. I am on my first couple of rolls with two different films in two different cameras. I plan on doing an entire post about it once I experiment a bit. I don’t think I’ve ever shot on 35mm film (with the exception of disposable cameras) or at least that I can remember. It’s possible my mom would have handed me a pre-loaded camera on a vacation and let me snap away with it, but definitely not one where I had to do the settings and focus manually. I’m hoping that the thought and intention you have to put behind every photo on a roll of film will help me become a better photographer in general.

What I’m Wearing:

Dress: Anthropologie (On sale, not many sizes left) | Camera: Nikon EM (Here is a link on Amazon and one on KEH)

This dress is one of the most comfortable ones I own. It’s wicked soft and feels like an old worn-in t-shirt dress, only it has a defined waist! I’ll keep an eye out for similar ones and link those if I come across them.
